Crystal-Liquid Interface

The article highlights the success of researchers at Emory University to capture the first images of what is actually happening in the fuzzy area of the crystal-liquid interface. It describes how the researchers found a way to take a picture of the intrinsic interface, measure it and show how it fluctuates over time. It also notes that the fuzzy region between the crystal and liquid states is extremely narrow. The research was published in the "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences."
