ABSTRACT
The article discusses in the trends in Alaska North Slope oil production between June 1977-2009. It notes that the Greater Prudhoe Bay Area is the oldest unit consistently yielding the most oil. According to the article, oil production peaked in February 1988 at 1.7 million barrels per day (bpd). It notes that Kuparuk River and Colville River rank second and third in oil output.
