ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations accreditation received by the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) in Anchorage in recognition of the hospital's fulfillment of health care industry standards. It cites that the medical center was visited by surveyors from the Commission to focus quality improvement and patient assessment. ANMC Administrator Dan Neumeister stated that surveyors were complimentary of the care they provide to patients.
