ABSTRACT
Focuses on the number and value of carbon dioxide emissions permits that were allocated to Russia and Ukraine by the Kyoto Protocol. Scenarios developed at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis and World Energy Council which are useful for analyzing the demand for and supply of the emission surplus; Russian and Ukrainian emissions of carbon dioxide from combustion of fossil fuels; Possible trading of emissions.
