ABSTRACT
The article presents issues related to charity organizations in the U.S. Dean Koontz, author, learned to be more helpful to other people through his golden retriever Trixie, from Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). Patricia Barnes and her husband George established the Barnes Family Foundation which supports local food banks and historical preservation. Kathy Morrison is a volunteer of the charity institution Knit for Kids which donates sweaters to children.
