ABSTRACT
The article presents a literature-based rehearsal strategy and provides examples of how the method can be implemented into the church choir by a choir director. It says that analyzing a musical score is the key to a comprehensive choral music education which provides conductors the opportunity to develop an aural image of the music to be learned. The strategy also includes an in in-depth study of the performance literature which can be used to teach vocal technique, music theory and history to enhance the choir members' artistic expression.
