ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Jeanne Faulkner's report regarding humanitarian organization CARE's Foundations to Enhance Management of Maternal Emergencies (FEMME) program in Vilcashuaman, Peru. She explores the old health and delivery centers in the area and recalls how CARE's program helped improved obstetric care with respect to their local culture and human rights.
