ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the deterioration of bipartisanship in U.S. politics. He notes that the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party should be blamed for the loss of bipartisanship. A survey conducted by NBC News and "Wall Street Journal" found that 61% of respondents believe that both parties are not willing to compromise and try to find a middle ground. He also cites the belief of analysts that reform in campaign finance will solve the political problems of the nation.
