The article discusses the Wings Club and Wolfgang Mayrhuber, chairman of the executive board and chief executive officer of Deutsche Lufthansa AG. The Wing Club will be honoring Mayrhuber with the 2009 Distinguished Achievement Award for his accomplishments in the field of aviation. Mayrhuber, born in Waizenkirchen, Austria, became an engineer with Deutsche Lufhansa in 1970 and was elected chairman of the executive board in 1994. Other Distinguished Achievement Award winners including U.S. astronaut Neil Armstrong and former U.S. President George H. W. Bush.
