ABSTRACT
The article features Mark Jones, who retired from the military and set up the Ranger Group, a company that hires veterans. Joining the military to provide medical benefits for his wife, Jones was at one time so poor, he had to live in his van. He started off as a cook with the Airborne Rangers, overcoming his fear of heights, and attributes his business success to what he learned in the military. Jones also trained the actors for the movie "Glory" and supports the Fisher House Foundation. He also petitions businesses to hire veterans.
