ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the findings of the study regarding the in vitro activity of tigecycline compared to other microbial agents against Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE) isolates. The study performed antimicrobial susceptibility testing against eight antimicrobial agents with the use of broth microdilution method. The study suggests the extreme activeness of tigecycline against VRE wherein E. faecalis and E. faecium showed high minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values.
