The article focuses on the need for better training members of the U.S. Department of Defense to safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII). It reports that there were over 100 incidents involving the loss of PII, impacting over 200,000 Navy personnel in the 18 months before July 2007. It is noted that the DOD Information Assurance Awareness training is problematic and misses the mark.
