ABSTRACT
The article reports that Australian automobile racing driver Darren Duffield won the Leyburn Sprints in his Mazda Rotary powered RPV held during August 15-16, 2009. Former event winner Ray Vandersee was second with his own built Skelta G-Force SC. The 14th Annual Historic Sprints marked the 60th anniversary of Leyburn's Australian Grand Prix. The track for the event was lined by red and white steel barriers, but also huge hay bales to soften the corners if anyone came off.
