ABSTRACT
The article reports that defending champion Jamie Whincup underplayed his sizeable championship lead after extending it by 66 points at Queensland Raceway. The TeamVodafone star claimed his fourth pole and eighth race win, before finishing 11th the next day after tyre problem. Whincup said he will begin thinking about championships after the upcoming Phillip Island and Bathurst endurance raceways. Whincup's nearest title challenger Will Davison had an up-and-down Queensland Raceway weekend.
