ABSTRACT
The article discusses the role of supermarkets for the future of wine distribution. It highlights the significant impact on the wine sector by the introduction of wine into the product category of supermarkets in the U.S. and Great Britain. It states that the supermarkets' major contribution to the wine industry is by demystifying the wine's image and basically giving the consumer confidence when purchasing the product.
