ABSTRACT
The article examines the illumination of a library system that is non-democratic, and non-Western in North Korean libraries. It describes the political conditions of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), which is commonly referred to as North Korea, and the limited and non-existent information in the country. The author keys out limitations in the country's library systems and provides information on the institutional organization of the Grand People's Study House.
