Alcoa, CIMC will develop energy-efficient tanker trailer

The article reports that Alcoa Growth Initiatives and CIMC Vehicles (Shandong) Co. Ltd. have partnered to provide the Asian market with a new, energy-efficient aluminum fuel tanker trailer. Materials to be used in production like aluminum sheets and Huck brand fasteners and Dura-Bright forged aluminum wheels will be supplied by Alcoa companies while CIMC will be responsible for the fabrication work. The road test for the first prototype is expected to be in October 2009 in Jinan City and Beijing in China.
