ABSTRACT
The article reports that ghostwriting in medical literature remains, despite the policy changes in drug-company and efforts of journals to cut down the practice in the U.S. It states that the ghostwriting, is a practice that involves pharmaceutical companies designing and paying for studies or reviews with a guest author to be credited, while the company goes unacknowledged. Moreover, a survey of 600 authors shows that 7.8% of the respondents are ghost authors.
