ABSTRACT
The article reports on the emergence of data deduplication computer software products for banks in 2009 in the U.S. Enterprise Strategy Group asserted that these products determine and eliminate redundant data. A deduplication solution from NetApp Inc. was implemented by Virginia Credit Union. Although skeptical about these products, senior research director Rod Nelsestuen at AgriBank FCB asserted data deduplication is needed to control the increasing number of data.
