ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the emergence of smishing, which is a type of computer crime that affected community banks using mobile banking. Senior manager Joram Borenstein of RSA asserted that smishing is happening through cellular telephones and personal digital computers (PDAs). Tom Wills, an analyst at Javelin Strategy & Research, asserted that counter measures are education, user-configurable mobile alerts and use of mutual authentication.
