ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the reengineering of remote cash capture in the U.S. It notes that cash management remains predominantly manual for most merchants. However, an increasing number of institutions offer remote cash capture products to enhance the deal through provisional credit for deposits counted and validated by smart safe. Among the barriers of its adoption are armored courier companies employing proprietary technology.
