ABSTRACT
The article discusses the impossible connection between Facebook Inc.'s social networking and the banking industry in the U.S. It primarily highlights the trend of banks to jump into the social networking community of Facebook, aiming to have the vast size of the 200 million Facebook user community to be its customer pool. Yet, several banking analysts evaluate Facebook to be a difficult platform for marketing initiative, arguing that people logged in Facebook for friends and not for banking.
