ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the 125 million dollars renovation of the 1,878-room Tropicana Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2009. It is stated that the 52-year-old property was bought by Alex Yemenidjian and partners following its bankruptcy declaration and that the new owners favor a South Beach Miami theme for the Y-shaped building which has a gaming area of 61,000 square feet. There will reportedly be a revamped casino floor and a nightclub after work is completed in 2010.
