ABSTRACT
The article presents the proclamations of U.S. President Barack Obama during the 19th anniversary celebration of the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). Obama announces that they will sign the new United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities aiming to protect the rights of disabled people against discrimination. Moreover, he notes that they increased the funding for the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
