UPS Venture Will Expand Foothold

The article reports on the joint venture deal reached between UPS and Unsped Paket Servisi San ve Ticaret AS, a Turkish partner that the package delivery firm uses to provide shipping services in the Mediterranean republic. Dubai, United Arab Emirates will be the base of the joint venture. According to UPS spokesperson Susan Rosenberg, the company will provide services to the 21 countries that are part of the new venture through an independent agent or a joint venture. Over the past three years, Unsped Paket Servisi posted an 18% revenue growth.
