The article reports on the acquisition of "Portland Press Herald" and assets of the Seattle Times Co. by HM Capital, the investment firm formerly known as Hicks, Muse & Co. HM Capital is partnering with Richard L. Connor, the editor and publisher of "Times Leader." HM Capital was founded as Hicks Muse by Tom Hicks and John Muse in 1989.
