ABSTRACT
The article reports on the restructuring of the Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) program, overseen by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The SBA funding levels were also raised to as much as three times the amount of private capital raised, with a maximum of 150 dollars million going to each SBIC. Reportedly, the program has attracted mezzanine investors in the past few years, including C3 Capital and Bush O'Donnell Capital Partners.
