ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of Prospect Capital Corporation to purchase Patriot Capital for an estimated 197 million U.S. dollars in a cash and stock deal. Reportedly, this deal will allow Patriot Capital to pay its increasing debt and would offer Prospect Capital with a platform for additional investments. According to Prospect President M. Grier Eliasek, the company wants to make more acquisitions of portfolio opportunities like the Patriot.
