The article deals with the uncertainty facing Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc., a Parsippany, New Jersey-based tax preparer, in its efforts to stage a corporate turnaround. It relates that the company has posted a 12.9 percent decline in revenues. It highlights the similarities and differences in the turnaround case of Jackson Hewitt and Charlotte Russe. Some of the strategic options being considered by Jackson Hewitt include a possible sale, adding new directors and reviewing candidates suggested by its shareholders.
