ABSTRACT
The article reports on the sale of Capmark Financial to a company owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway and Leucadia National Corp. A joint statement by Leucadia, Buffett and their target show that the chapter 11 proceedings for Capmark will start soon. According to the statement, if Capmark is in bankruptcy proceeding under section 363 of the bankruptcy code, the purchase price will consist of a 415 million U.S. dollars payment in cash at closing and the note.
