ABSTRACT
The article reports on the funds raised by the Carlyle Group for its fourth Asian growth capital fund at 1.04 billion U.S. dollars. The Washington-based private equity firm launched marketing efforts for the Carlyle Asia Growth Partners IV fund a year ago. It was able to secure a 150 million U.S. dollars commitment from the California Public Employees' Retirement System.
