ABSTRACT
The article reports on the offer of JLL Partners affiliate private equity firm JLL Patheon Holdings to buy out the remaining shares of Patheon Inc. that it does not already own. JLL's offer will expire on April 16, 2009. The firm offered 2 dollars per Patheon share, which was about 21% more than the stock's closing price on March 10, 2009. JLL runs two hospital systems in the U.S. while Patheon provides products and services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
