ABSTRACT
The article highlights the cheer brought by the initial public offerings (IPO) of Rosetta Stone and Bridgepoint to the IPO market in the face of uncertain times as of April 2009. Rosetta Stone was able to price 6.52 million shares of common stock at 18 dollars per share the day after Bridgepoint Education was taken public by Warburg Pincus by offering 13.5 million shares of common stock at 10.50 dollars per share. Rosetta Stone's major stock owners are ABS Capital Partners and Norwest Equity Partners while Bridgepoint is controlled by Warburg Pincus.
