ABSTRACT
The article reports on the issuance of a report concerning the management and usage of coalbed methane (CBM) pilot projects by the National Energy Administration under the National Development and Reform Commission (NRDC) in China in July 2009. The report noted that a total of 1.52 billion cubic meters of CBM was harvested from the ten pilot projects in 2008. Among them, 830 million cubic meters were used or 46% of national total, which generated 620 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
