ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the importance of credit control and automation for an organization in the current economic climate. The author observes that cash is king in the current times and the objective for finance departments in any organization must be to maximize payment and minimize debtor days. It is stated that regularizing paper-based processes in the finance department offer opportunities for companies to reduce payment cycles.
