ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the success among steel mills in Mexico in increasing prices in the steel market in June 2009 which depicts a recovery in Mexican manufacturing and a change of tendency in the short-term cycle. According to the article, the global increase in steel prices has added upward pressure on Mexican steel prices. It is stated that there is also a strong link between the U.S. and Mexican steel price dynamics.
