ABSTRACT
The article reports on the move of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government in implementing the Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) project Freeway and Local Coordinated Operations Network (FALCON) to provide a solution to the growing traffic volume in 2009. Scientechnic is collaborating with Optelecom-NKF Inc. to integrate Optelecom's Siqura Internet protocol (IP) switches in the FALCON ITS structure. The integration of the switches allows the structure to network all the IP-based data streams.
