ABSTRACT
The article reports on the assertions of Zurich Financial Services Group that plans of the British Conservative Party to create a Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) will promote consumer confidence in financial services. The political party announced plans to pass prudential regulation to Bank of England and abolish the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Zurich Financial Services Group intermediary sales director Richard Howells has asserted that CPA will serve as a beacon of trust by consumers.
