ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the developments of the merger of financial services firms Friends Provident PLC and Resolution PLC from October 2007 to August 2009 in Great Britain. In 2007, Friends Provident PLC and Resolution PLC will merge to create Friends Financial Group. In July 2009, Friends Provident PLC refused an offer from Resolution PLC. Friends Provident PLC entered into discussions with Resolution PLC after an improved bid in August 2009.
