ABSTRACT
The article examines the differences between burnout and compassion fatigue among medical professionals in the U.S. It first enumerates the three characteristics of burnouts which is the emotional and physical exhaustion, depersonalization, and the sense of lack of personal accomplishments which is generated to work environment. On the other hand, the compassion fatigue is the result of the stresses that was generated between the medical personnel and the patient.
