ABSTRACT
The article presents the different views gathered by the author on roses. He points to the diversity in roses where rose breeders have always something to look forward to and share with him. He mentions Ludwig Taschner of South Africa who was able to develop a rose tree which is regarded as the Super Hybrid Teas. He also cites Gareth Fryer who has provided great hybrid teas (HT) and continue to breed HTs with an improved disease resistance. He agrees with Michael Marriott of Austin Roses that the beauty in roses makes one wish for more varieties.
