ABSTRACT
The article analyzes the potential impact of the Legal Services Act (LSA) 2007 on the public relations (PR) industry. Known as the Tesco law, the Act centers on the formation of alternative business structures to give legal services where senior lawyers share the ownership. Under LSA, traditional law firms can put non-lawyers like accountants and PR professionals to upper positions of seniority. Jon McLeod of Weber Shandwick said that it would increase requirements of professional communications support.
