ABSTRACT

Falken Tyre Europe GmbH has been established by Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. to expand sales of Falken- and Ohtsu-brand replacement tires in Europe. Pirelli SpA is planning to cease production of passenger tires at its Pirelli Pneumaticos SA plant in Manresa, Spain. Bridgestone Corp. has inaugurated production of giant off-the-road tires at its newest plant, in Kitakyushu, Japan, three months ahead of schedule.
