ABSTRACT
The author responds to a reader's comments on his study in which the results of K-wire arthrodesis and coracoclavicular augmentation were evaluated. The reader identified some complications associated with K-wire migration in the lateral direction with the risk of skin penetration. The author says that the study results support coracoclavicular augmentation alongwith temporary K-wire arthrodesis for the treatment of acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) separations.
