ABSTRACT
The article reports on analytics technology which provides public-safety agencies with new ways of using surveillance video. Network video recorders that feature video management software applications that operate on standards-base computer hardware are being used to manage surveillance solutions. Added flexibility is also provided by a central analytics processor implementation given the advances of server processing power.
