ABSTRACT
The article reports on the U.S. Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection filed by Fontainebleau Las Vegas LLC and two of its affiliates. It states that the company has shut down a 2.9 billion dollars resort development project in Las Vegas, Nevada which is about 70 percent complete. It mentions that the bankruptcy petition stemmed from several funding problems and a legal case between Fontainebleau and a group of lenders who retracted a 800 million dollar loan for the resort.
