ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the outlook for health care reform in the United States. The proposed strategy of U.S. President Barack Obama during his 2008 campaign for implementing reform, the negotiation of language that will recognize the status of nurse practitioners, legislative bills associated with the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, and statistics concerning Americans' desire for health care reform are mentioned.
