ABSTRACT
The article reports on the participation of the Automation Federation in a U.S./European Union (EU) roundtable discussion to tackle skills for growth and jobs in the economic recovery in Washington, D.C. According to Steve Huffman, chair of the Automation Federation Government Relations Committee, the meeting provided the Federation the opportunity to raise the awareness of the Automation Competency Model on a global front. The Automation Federation and the EU will have further negotiations on the Automation Competency Model as part of the roundtable.
