Examines the effect of coupling condition on vibration-induced noise in fiber lead used in an optical current measurement system. Focus on a scheme to suppress the remaining polarization noise induced due to the input of the leading fiber; Findings that such optical noise can be suppressed when appropriate coupling conditions are met.

The dynamics of an ensemble of bistable elements under the influence of noise and with global time-delayed coupling is studied numerically by using a Langevin description and analytically by using 1) a Gaussian approximation and 2) a dichotomic model.
