ABSTRACT
The article discusses the development of a collision-avoidance systems on the U.S. Navy's broad-area-maritime surveillance, unmanned-aircraft systems (BAMS UAS) to establish safe operations in the global airspace. It is comprised of multiple cooperative sensors added with an automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) and traffic-collision-avoidance system (TCAS). The systems provide situational awareness to the air-vehicle operator (AVO) for cooperative and uncooperative aircraft.
